Family, Friends and Colleagues,

On Saturday, May 24, I will be participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's to raise funds for important programming in the NWT and, more broadly, for research in the fight against this devastating disease.   

This past April marked 3 years since my mother's death, ending a difficult 14 year journey with Alzheimer's.  I remain committed to talking about our experience and advocating for those afflicted with this disease and their families. Along with my family, friends, and counseling, it was with the support of our local Alzheimer's Society that I was able to cope with my mum's decline over the years. I am thankful for the opportunity to raise funds that will help families in the Territories receive the support they need as they navigate the challenges of Alzheimer's.

The Alzheimer Society provides essential programs and services that work to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease within our community. By making a donation to me, your funds will stay in the North and you will be helping the Alzheimer Society continue its important work towards a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
