Honoring a Champion for Alzheimer's Awareness, Bev's incredible dedication to fundraising has left a lasting impact. Last year, her team raised over $30,000, making her team, one of the highest fundraiser's in Canada. Even while living with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's, Bev's spirit and commitment shone brightly. She passed away on August 23, 2024, with the assistance of MAID, but her legacy will endure and continue to inspire us all.

Our team is raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society's "Walk for Alzheimer's".

We’re walking this year and every year going forward because dementia is the fastest-growing healthcare issue of our time. As it touches more lives, the need for Alzheimer Society programs and services grows, too. These services are crucial—they empower people to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.

We’re removing all constraints—every donation, whether substantial or modest, has an impact. Our objective is to gather 200+ individuals, mirroring the attendance seen at significant city events.

Your name will be added to the team registry, and you will receive a welcoming email from me thanking you for your donation and requesting your T-shirt size. Donations of $100 or more will quailify you for a IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's t-shirt. The deadline for ordering T-Shirts is April 30, 2025. T-shirts will be distributed as they become available in the lead-up to the event.

"It's a Wrap" lunch, immediately following the walk, we are gathering together in the park, bringing our own chair, food and beverage, or getting some great food from the food trucks on site.
