This year I am again walking in memory of someone very special my Great Auntie Liz (never Elizabeth).

She was fierce feisty and is the reason today that I walk with such feeling and also solemnity. She took care of me when I was first born and her offering me cookies and treats as well as early Christmas gifts is a memory I will treasure always.

She passed away in January 2023 and I miss her dearly. But this walk is a but this walk is a great way to honour her memory. My Aunty Liz encouraged in me to never give up and to work hard and do my best.

Dementia changed many things about her , but her love for me , my sister and those around her .

She continued to share her opinions especially on my hair and clothes and I know she truly loved me unconditionally.

I am fundraising alongside my sister in law who has connections to Alzheimer's within her family.

Thank you so much for helping me honour my Auntie Liz I know she would be very proud of me....and also concerned that about if I had enough to eat before and after the walk.
