Hello! It's me, Margaret...

I am walking in memory of my beloved husband Jim who died on August 17th, 2024, his sister Daphne who died December 2023, and for friends who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Jim was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2017 and was an active member of the Alzheimer's Society programs such as Minds in Motion and Support Group Coffee Chat, where he interacted with others who live with dementia.

Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and their families.

I am walking this year in memory of Jim, family and friends with Alzheimer's, in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Kamloops on May 25th to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way people who are affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.  

I would love for you to join me on the walk which is being held at the Thompson Rivers University indoor track, registration begins at 9:00am.  If you cannot walk with me, please consider making a donation.
