On Sunday, May 31, I’m participating in the Alzheimer Society of BC and Yukon’s largest fundraising event – the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, presented by Go Auto. I’m doing this for my Dad, Manuel Perez who passed on March 13th of Cancer and Alzheimer’s. He is greatly missed and I want to take this opportunity to give back and contribute to the fundraising efforts for the benefit of all of us now and in the future.
The Walk provides an opportunity for communities to take action to change the future for the more than 85,000 British Columbians living with dementia and the people who care for them.
Funds raised will help provide in-person and virtual programs, services and education for families facing dementia, providing the support they need to maintain the best possible quality of life throughout the progression of the disease, as well as enabling critical research to change the future of the disease.
