I will be walking in the local IG Wealth Walk for Alzheimer’s on May 31st, to honour Stephen, my husband and fellow honouree. We both journeyed together through his father Barrie’s Alzheimer diagnosis in the early 1980’s; then his own Alzheimer disease challenges from 2005 onwards. I will also be walking for my mother Helen who had symptoms of Vascular dementia, plus all of the individuals in the West Kootenay area living with dementia challenges.
My goal is to raise awareness and funds to make a difference in the lives on many people living with dementia, their caregivers and families. Donations help provide the intertwined goals of education and support for West Kootenay residents, plus vital research.
I appreciate whatever donation you can make - no matter how small or big. Every online donation until May 31 will be matched dollar for dollar by the Aune Foundation, the Lecky Foundation and an anonymous donor. It all makes a difference.
