Please donate to Alzheimer Society and support my 10km walk on May 31st
Dear Family & Friends:
I would appreciate your contribution to Alzheimer Society by clicking on “Donate” above to help exceed my fundraising goal of $8,000. Your kind donation will go to support caregivers of this terrible brain disorder that is sure to affect most of us if we live long enough.
This is Alzheimer Society’s annual signature fundraising event, held across Canada, to support people affected by Dementia/Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Over $7M was raised last year and they hope to exceed that in 2026. My participation will be to support 50+ members of my family and friends who are directly affected by this brain disorder, as well as many of their caregivers, including me who is primary support person for my younger sister.
Recent 2026 Alzheimer’s research highlights breakthroughs in early detection and treatment: a new antibody therapy uses the Fc fragment to help immune cells clear amyloid plaques, while AI-powered brain scans can detect the disease with over 92% accuracy. With your support, Alzheimer Society can continue its vital work in research, education and in supporting millions of caregivers across Canada, given that this brain disorder at this point in research outcome is: 0% Cure, 100% Care.
As you likely know, the current global turmoil has resulted in reduced support to charities. So, it is even more important that those of us who are capable of giving will contribute generously to this important cause.
Best Wishes,
Ash Abhyankar, M.Sc. P.Eng. 😉🙏
