In the 4 years since Allison has been diagnosed with dementia, the Alzheimer Society of BC has proved invaluable to us with their support, their programs and their resources. I cannot speak too highly of how much their assistance has enabled us to navigate the demands of this disease. As Allison's symptoms become more pronounced we are relying more than ever on their services and research.
Allison's cognitive decline is progressing, not in any linear way but in fits and starts. Within the general decline we have good days and bad days. She continues to struggle with word finding and memory and is noticeably more confused in the evenings and when she is tired. However, most of the time she is keen to do things, and able to communicate with everyone. Her specialist described her alzheimer's as slow moving ( whatever that means!).
Both of us will be participating in the walk on the 31st of May and we are hoping that you consider donating to support us.
Thank you,
Chris and Allison
