If you are a returning donor of mine, thank you so much for checking in once again.
If you are new to my site, thank you for checking it out. Here is my story:
I started fundraising for the Alzheimer Society 24 years ago after my step-father, John Tutte, was diagnosed. I signed up for the first Walk and vowed to "walk until they find a cure". Well, it’s getting much closer, but not quite close enough, so, I'M STILL WALKING!
Just a couple of years after John passed away, my mother-in-law, Joyce Edwards, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She spent the last 10 years of her life in a full-care nursing home not knowing ANY of her family or friends. We are so sad that so many years were stolen from her and from us.
Over these 24 years, my list of dear family and friends to "walk" for, has increased and sadly, continues to do so. My heartfelt goal is to see this list disappear by helping to find a cure.
I hope you will consider supporting me with a donation. Your donation will not only go to research but also to help those struggling with this memory-robbing disease. It is my pleasure to do the fundraising and even the walking but I can't make a difference without your help.
Please help me MAKE MEMORIES MATTER and ultimately FIND THAT CURE!!
Thanks kindly,
Carol
