Welcome to My Participant Page
Friends and family!
I will be participating in the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer's again this year and thereby attempting to raise money in support of Joyce, the others in residential care, the estimated 70,000+ British Columbians living with dementia, and the thousands of caregivers who support them. Your past support has been very much appreciated.
By walking, I will honour people who have passed and will acknowledge the work that must be done to ensure help and hope for the people living with the disease today.
I have been most appreciative of the muti-faceted support that has been provided by the Alzheimer Society of B.C. during our unbelievable struggle with Alzheimer's. It has been a life-saver for me and I support their efforts for both the present and future. The ultimate vision of a world without dementia is applaudable but the reality is that Alzheimer's is still a terminal disease and, as such, leaves those with it and their care givers in need of information, support, guidance, and a sense that others care. The Alzheimers Society provides that blanket.
The funds I raise will ensure the Society can continue to provide those vital support services. They will also enable research into the causes of and cures for dementia.
Please help me to make a difference by giving whatever you can.
Thank you in advance for your kind and generous support, it means the world to Joyce and to me!
