THE FORGET ME NOTS are raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society by hosting  our annual HIKE FOR ALZHEIMER'S.

Most of us have a parent, family member or friend who suffers from dementia. Alzheimer’s is one type of dementia. It is a disease that not only affects the person with dementia, but the entire family, especially the caregiver.

Having lost 2 friends within the past few years, supporting 2 other friends currently battling this disease, and assisting my 97 year old mother living with dementia, fundraising for Alzheimer’s has become very personal to us.

This year, Dave and I will be leading a hike to Scout Bay in Golden Ears Park on Saturday May 25 in MEMORY OF VOA member ALAN MEGGY, who lost his battle with this disease last fall :(
