Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers, and families. I am walking for Uncle Joe, who passed away on March 22, 2023, and I am walking in support of Saint John's Alzheimer Society.
The government's supports are really not adequate and can be confusing for a caregiver trying to do their very best for their loved one, but the Alzheimer Society is different and offer a supportive atmosphere with programs and services that meet a variety of needs. They provided me support from the very start and even continue to check in on me, even though Uncle Joe has passed away. For Uncle Joe and, as a thank you to the Alzheimer Society, I will always be part of this fundraising effort.
