Our Centre has contributed to the Alzheimer Society through this walk for more than 10 years. Over the years we have raised more than $30,000 and our commitment continues as we invite past and present staff and students of the Centre and the broader MSVU community to participate in this initiative. 

Funds raised through the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s  help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest. During the past year, I have been honored to work with colleagues on a refresh of the dementia curriculum that care workers in Nova Scotia are required to take as part of their training. This curriculum helps to ensure that persons living with dementia receive quality care regardless of setting.
