Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of Nova Scotians living with dementia, their caregivers and families. As the Chair of the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia Board of Directors, I have seen and experienced the profound impact of the work being done right here in our province, from the Maritime Brain Bank to delivering education, supporting researchers, and delivering support to people in every corner of our province. 

Help for Today

Programs and Services offered by the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are free of charge, and available across the province to individuals living with dementia, including care partners. The funds raised at the annual Walk for Alzheimer's ensures we can meet the growing demand for support. Did you know? 90% of calls to the dementia helpline in Nova Scotia are from care partners? This and other resources ensure people affected by dementia can live life to the fullest.

In addition to supporting research, advocating for improved care and policies that impact people living with dementia, Alzheimer Societies across Canada are working hard to raise awareness about how each of us can improve our brain health through the actions we take every day.
