Hi everyone! Thanks so much for visiting my page! This is my second walk for Alzheimer’s and I am super excited to raise money and awareness for a cause that is so near and dear to my heart. Last year I was able to raise over $1700 in support of the Alzheimer's Society of Canada and am very much looking forward to making another contribution in 2025.

As most of you know, my Dad, Dr. James Pincock, started showing signs of memory loss and mild cognitive impairment over 15 years ago, and was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2015. It has been both a painful and profound experience to watch his decline over the last 10 years, from being a brilliant and productive academic and family man, to this new version of himself.

James is now entering into the late stages of his disease and is currently living in long term advanced care at London Hall in Bedford, Nova Scotia. He has very limited abilities now, although I am happy to say that his humour and good nature remain intact :) 

I will be participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Halifax, this Sunday, May 25th, to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
