Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

I graduate from Brock University in June, but my biggest supporter won't be there. My Dad passed away in October. I watched him change dramatically over the last four years due to his Frontotemporal Dementia with Parkinsonism.

John, a mechanical engineer, brought his computer home to work at the start of the COVID pandemic, but four months later, he announced “I can’t do this anymore.”

Several months later, he stopped talking. He had primary progressive aphasia (PPA), a neurological condition that causes a person to lose language skills.

My family has been Walking for Alzheimer’s since 2018 to raise awareness, educate people, and to find a cure for the debilitating illness. The Alzheimer’s Society educates people on Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the other hundred kinds of dementia.
