Dear Family and Friends:

Thank you for supporting us in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

I began walking for Alzheimer's 8 years ago, when my mom began to show signs of cognitive decline. We appreciated the support the local Alzheimer's Society was able to provide in securing a LTC placement quickly for my mom, Evelyn. We also walk in memory of Joyce's mom, Wilhelmina (Willy to her friends) who suffered from cognitive decline the last 5 years of her life. We know firsthand how devastating this disease is to those who are affected by it. This is our small way of contributing to help in supporting research and prevention programs so that hopefully one day we will have a cure.  

We're participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Jarvis to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
