Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, like my mom, their caregivers and families.
My mom is the smartest woman I know. No one ever wanted to play jeopardy or trivial pursuit with her; you would always lose. She could do these ridiculous math equations in her head, and was a voracious reader. She has a heart of gold, generosity that is unmatched and unconditional love for her family. To know her is to love her. This brutal disease shows no prejudice. It can happen to anyone; it’s unfair, heartbreaking and so, so sad. There’s no cure. But they continue to do research and offer treatments to patients. These treatments need to reach more people, they need to be more accessible. There needs to be more research. While there has been some successes, the majority of medication has failed in the final trial. I can only hope that in my lifetime, this changes, and we find a rainbow after the storm.
I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Hamilton on May 25th to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
