My brother-in-law Bryan has given me consent to share about my sister Michele.
First Bryan and Michele have been married 54 years this coming year, have 3 kids and 6 grandchildren. Michele worked as a medical secretary, loved kids, family and friends very important to her. A few years ago she was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia this changed everything for them. Bryan had had some of his own health issues but has stepped up to be the primary caregiver to his highschool love.
So this year I am walking in honour of my sister and her battle with Lewy Body Dementia but also in honour of my brother in law to thank him for being such an amazing caregiver.
Last but not least to our eldest sister thank you for the support you give to the family. Michele picked you as her "twin".
Bryan has given me permission to share an update with the progression of the disease Michele is diagnosed with, due to the progression of Lewy Body Michele was admitted to a care home earlier this year.
Please help me raise awareness and funds to help support those battling memory loss and their caregivers.
