This year I will be walking in honour and in memory of my husband Leonard, who lost his battle with alzheimers on April 7th 2023. Diagnosed in 2018 at 51, he suffered with this horrible disease for 5 years.
My husband's journey was extremely difficult and I know without a doubt I would not of been able to navigate this journey without the help of the alzheimers society. They were there to help every step of the way with educational programs, support groups and counseling. I will be walking with the hopes of making this journey a little less difficult for those already on this journey and for those who will come behind us.
