Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers, and families.
I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s event on Saturday, May 30 to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
This is a very personal cause for my family. We lost my maternal grandfather, Bernard Bartlett, to Alzheimer's in 2006. My dad, Dwight, was first diagnosed with dementia in 2002, moved into long term care in 2013, and passed away in April, 2024.
Dementia has robbed my family of so much, but I am honoured to be part of an organization that helps families navigate the trials and tribulations of their own journey with this disease. The Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent offers many wonderful programs to help families like ours wade through the turbulent waters of supporting someone living with dementia.
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
