I want to tell you about why ou family walks and will continue to walk until a cure is found.
In early 2006, we noticed changes in Mums behaviour. She wasn’t doing the things she loved doing. She was repeating stories, confusing people and names. We went to doctors, did blood work, did cognitive testing. She was finally diagnosed with a form of dementia.
In June 2009, Mum died.
Since 2008, we have walked to raise funds to support research, programming and support for the wonderful caregivers (Dad was Mum’s).
Please help me and our family raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. Donate Now!
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
