I am proudly participating, for the second straight year, in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s on Saturday, May 25 to help raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

One of my lifelong role models and supporters, my grandmother, Joyce Hancock, succumbed to this terrible disease in December of 2022. I have experienced firsthand how this organization can help those suffering and their family members as they try to navigate the numerous daily challenges presented by dementia. 

Today, there are nearly 12,000 people living with dementia in Durham Region, many of whom turn to the Alzheimer Society for support. Funds raised from the Walk will help provide counselling, support groups, education and social recreation programs for all those impacted by dementia in our community.
