Thank you for supporting my journey to fight Alzheimer’s disease. 

As in past years, I walk in memory of my dear mother, Ina Arnold, who lived with Alzheimer's disease for nearly ten years.  I know the challenges the disease presents for loved ones and it was through the Alzheimer Society Durham Region that I found the information & support that our family needed to help Mom live her best life while living with the disease.  Through the Alzheimer Society, I was able to attend educational workshops and get the support I needed to address whatever situation arose.  Although we lost my mother eight years ago, her spirit lives on in our family and I think about her every day.  I wish that she had never faced the disease, but I was thankful that I had the Alzheimer Society to rely upon.  I now work professionally for the Alzheimer Society, and I am proud to say that I can continue being a voice for those who live with the disease and their caregivers.
