I'm once again joining the walk in honour of my late mom, Gillian Pritchard, and to help ensure others diagnosed with Alzheimer's get the support they need. She was supported through programs of the Alzheimer's Society including participation in an amazing arts group, where she continued to express herself artistically in a caring environment. 

I'm also walking to honour the tireless work of my niece Kendel Ferrara who now works for the Alzheimer's Society of Durham Region.
