As many of you are already aware, I’m doing some volunteer work with the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region as a way of giving back for the kind support I received during my mother’s brief journey.  

On Saturday May 24th, I’ll be participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Whitby to help raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

There are nearly 12,000 people living with dementia in Durham Region, many of whom turn to the Alzheimer Society for support. Funds raised from the Walk will help to provide counselling, support groups, education and social recreation programs for those impacted by dementia in our community.
