Welcome to my Participant Page!

Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Whitby, on Saturday, May 24th, to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services.
If you know me on a personal level, you know that volunteering, donating and fundraising are very important to me and I try to support as many varied causes as I can. Usually I am drawn to a specific (or new) cause based on what is happening in the lives of those who are closest to me. As some of you may know, a few years ago, my beautiful mother was diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s dementia.
At this time, my father is her primary caregiver but both my brother and I are involved and helping as much as we can. The Alzheimer Society is an invaluable resource for all of us. It has helped us to better understand what is happening to my mother and navigate the changes and challenges that this situation presents for all of us.
I understand that donating isn’t always easy and no one can donate to every cause or event that I share, so, I’ll just say thank you for taking a moment to read my page and being open to increased awareness. Of course, if donating feels right for you, thank you so much for your support.
Thank you,
Andrea
