My Granny passed away on March 9, 2025 and while she lived a life filled with love, the last few years were plagued with a notable decline in cognitive and physical abilities. 

Our family has never really talked about Alzheimer's or dementia, and as a family, it was a 'learn as you go' experience.  For Granny's primary caregivers, specifically my mother and aunt, there were many unknowns that would have been much easier had there been more awareness and support surrounding this disease.

On May 24th, my husband, children, and mother, will be participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's to raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
