I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Ajax on Saturday, May 30th to help raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region. I have been taking part in this walk since 2011 in memory of my father Ray Hill and my family and I have raised over $30,000.00 for the Alzheimer Society which helps provide programs to families living in Durham Region.
There are nearly 12,000 people living with dementia in Durham Region, many of whom turn to the Alzheimer Society for support. Funds raised from the Walk will help provide counselling, support groups, education and social recreation programs for all those impacted by dementia in our community.
