I am participating in the Walk for Alzheimer’s in Whitby on Saturday, May 30 to help raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
My mom died of Alzheimer's Disease in 2009 and I think of her every day. ASDR supported her through education and recreation programs including an art program where she was able to continue her love for art and meet new people who were also facing the challenges of this debilitating disease.
