Dear Friends and Family,
This year’s Walk for Alzheimer’s is deeply personal for me.
Like many families, mine is navigating the realities of supporting a parent living with cognitive decline. Experiencing this journey firsthand has reinforced just how complex, emotional, and demanding it can be—not only for the individual, but for the entire family around them.
Nearly 650,000 people in Canada are living with dementia, and countless families rely on the Alzheimer Society for guidance, education, counselling, and community support. These services make an enormous difference during moments that can otherwise feel isolating and overwhelming.
Although I won’t be able to participate in the walk on May 30 as I continue my rehab, I am fully committed to fundraising in support of this important cause. Every contribution helps ensure that individuals and families facing dementia have access to the resources, compassion, and support they need—when they need it most.
If you’re able to support my fundraising efforts, I would be sincerely grateful. No amount is too small, and every donation helps move this work forward.
Thank you for your generosity, encouragement, and continued support.
Warm regards,
Alok
