Our Recreation Team at Lakeridge Gardens is proud to support the Alzheimer Society by hosting our very own “Walk in a Box”! Every day, we work closely with many individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and we see firsthand the importance of raising awareness and funds to support care, research, and advocacy.
This walk is our way of honoring them, their families, and the incredible strength they show every day. Together, we walk with purpose, hope, and heart.
Join us in supporting this meaningful cause to help raise funds for The Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.
There are nearly 12,000 people living with dementia in Durham Region, many of whom turn to the Alzheimer Society for support. Funds raised from the Walk will help provide counselling, support groups, education and social recreation programs for all those impacted by dementia in our community.
