As many of you know, Alzheimer’s Disease hits close to home in our family. Once again, I will be walking in support of my niece Rachel. Rachel & her brother Justyn along with my boys Will, Colin & Ethan are why I Walk For Alzheimer’s. Both their Grandmother & Mother/Aunt passed away far too young with early onset Alzheimer’s in their 40’s. Unlike the majority of cases, this form of Alzheimer’s Disease is caused by a genetic mutation that means a 50% chance of inheriting the gene and developing Alzheimer’s. My deepest hope is that there is a different future for this generation. That’s why I choose to raise funds for both research to find a cure and services to help those who are affected by all forms of dementia.
