It's that time of year again. I am participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's in Owen Sound on May 30th, 2026.
My sister in law @AnnaParkes, as you know, was diagnosed with earlier on set Alzheimer's in 2019. Anna has been living in long term care for over 3 years now. Anna's decline this year has been rapid. With every change the Alzheimer's society is there to support Anna and me,with all my questions and concerns. The support they have given us these past 7 years have been immeasurable.
Anna's mom, my mother in law, @MurielParkes has dementia and has been living with my husband and I these past 2 years. The Alzheimer's society has been an invaluable support to us in numerous ways, not sure we could have gotten through these past years without them.
On behalf of Anna and Muriel and our whole family we are asking for your donations. The money raised will help the Alzheimer's society meet ths growing demand for programs and services. Bring awareness and give supports and make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and their family.
