People living with dementia and their care partners have a very special place in my heart.
I am raising funds on behalf of the Alzheimer Society so they can continue to meet the growing demand for vital programs, education, and support services. As a former staff member of the Alzheimer Society of KFL&A, I have personally seen where these dollars go and the good they can do. These resources truly change lives and help people affected by dementia live with dignity, confidence, and connection.
Through my work in long term care, I have had the honour of loving and supporting many people living with dementia. One year, I even got a forget‑me‑not tattoo as part of a local Alzheimer Society fundraiser. This cause is deeply personal to me.
