Did you know the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's is the biggest event in Canada supporting Alzheimer’s disease?
Last year, we raised over $3.1 million in support of those affected by dementia – the largest amount raised in Ontario to date. This year, we want to break that record, but we can’t do it without you!
Who will you walk for?
Alzheimer’s touches so many of us and demands incredible levels of support for the people who are living with it. When you walk, you’re providing meaningful help for people like Brandon, who started caring for his grandmother when he was just 18. And Betty, who cared first for her father and now her mother. Or Megan, who lives with young onset dementia first diagnosed in her 40s.
Whoever you’re walking for, rally your team members, tie up those laces and get ready to join with family, friends and your community for a day of celebration.
Whether you are a returning walker or you are joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you!
There are approximately 4,000 people living with dementia in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
This year lets walk 4,000 steps to honour these people, or walk 8,000 steps and include their caregiver, who is also living with dementia.
Feeling up to a challenge? Walk 4,000 or 8,000 steps every day for the month of May.

About the Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville
If you, a family member or someone you know has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia, we can help.
The Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville is a non-profit, registered charity that offers support, education, and advocacy for families of people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. We strive to make sure that no one has to feel alone in their journey living with dementia. We offer support, education, and social programs for individuals living with dementia and their families and care partners.
