Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

As some of you might know, dementia has been an unwelcome guest within our family.  We are grateful for the support that we receive from the Elgin Alzheimer's Society and their amazing staff as they help us learn about this disease and navigate the twists and turns that it takes within our lives as a family.  

I am participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in St. Thomas on May 25 in honour of my Dad,  to help raise awareness and money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.

Beginning May 1 thru to the 25th, I will be walking 14000 steps/day in support of the 14000 Alzheimers/dementia clients in our region and am asking for your support. That is 500 more people in our area have fallen victim to this disease since last year’s walk! !  This is not only alarming, it is necessary that we all become more aware  moving forward
