Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in St Thomas on Saturday May 25, 2024 to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services.  I can tell you first hand that these and other resources make all the difference in the way people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.

My Mother has been living with dementia for some time now.  My sister and I provide daily care along with the support of other services in our community, including the Alzheimer Society.  I will say without a doubt that the Alzheimer Society has been a great help and invaluable resource in our effort to provide daily/weekly care for Mom.

When Mom’s condition started to worsen, we didn’t know where to turn or get help.  Doctors and specialists really don’t provide much support beyond a diagnosis and medication.  The Alzheimer’s Society was there for us providing training, support and programs for Mom.  They are one of our main partners in providing the life Mom deserves and providing us the knowledge to help in a meaningful way. 

I am deeply thankful for everything the volunteers and Alzheimer Society do to help those in our community!  I cannot emphasize enough how critical the Alzheimer Society is for people in our community living with dementia.  Please help me with providing whatever donation you can make.  No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.  Select the button on the right to Donate Now!
