As you  may know, my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago. 

Through testing and assessments (and ongoing research by her specialists), we have been able to confirm that our family does carry some of the Alzheimer's genes. This means that my siblings and I, as well as all of our biological children, are extremely likely to be diagnosed at some point in our lives as well (Ask me more about the research and how our lives and our children's lives will be impacted because of patients like my mum!).

On May 24, 2025, I am participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's to raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society.  The Alzheimer Society supports individuals and families like ours through funding such as this.

The first year of the run, my mum participated (in honour of her mum), and came in first place! Challenge accepted, mama. Except we're not working towards anything other than making new memories with mum (she may come cheer us on!) and raising funds for a cause that has been in our family for more years than we even remembered (but mum reminded us ;))
