Thank you for supporting McGarrell's Walk 'n Wheels in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

McGarrell Long Term Care is participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, May 27th to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.  Since most of the residents are not able to participate in the May 30th event at Mothter Teresa Secondary School, Family Council has initiated a walk in the neighbourhood for the residents. A morning where residents can enjoy an outing coupled with activities / games / as well as making connections with the Kindergarten and Grade 8 students from Masonville who will be joining us on the walk. You too are welcome to join us on the walk.

Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. This year Alzheimer's will be giving out Alzheimer's T-shirts for donation of $100 or more, and a bucket hat for donations of $600 or more. If you are making these incentive donations, please come to the booth on the day of the walk to claim your T-shirt. Sizes are limited so come early to ensure you get the size you want.
