My dad, John Brown, walked with me my entire life. I now walk in his memory, as he continues to walk beside me in heaven. My dad suffered from a traumatic brain injury in June 2020, was in the hospital for 194 days. His strength and will to live allowed him to push himself to being able to go to Parkwood Hospital on their Brain Injury floor for 2 months. My dad was able to come home with his family in November 2020. Over the next year and a half, my dad's dementia began to get worse. Watching the Blue Jays and being surrounded by his family and the wonderful people at Saint Elizabeth allowed my dad to stay at home, where he wanted to be with his family. In July 2022 he passed away with his family by his side. We are raising money to hopefully provide services to allow people with Dementia to stay in their house as long as possible. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia. My family and I thank you on behalf of my dad.
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
