This disease is very close to my heart as I watched my grandmother struggle with it and now I am watching my husband struggle with it, I have worked in Long Term Care with patients having all types of Alzheimer's disease for the past 25 years, watching the progression from the beginning to the end has never gotten any easier for me, it takes on a whole new meaning when it becomes your best friend that was supposed to walk through life with you until the end. We had so many plans for our future together until the disease took over and put a halt on everything, we do our best to keep our spirits up each and every day, we have good days and bad days but somehow manage to pull through. Our moto is "Live each day like a new day" We try to keep things as normal as we can and stay as active a possible.
We are going to do the walk for Alzheimer's May 30, 2026 for the first time, we are going to walk it together, if you would like to join us we would welcome that with open arms.
I would like thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
Thank you for whatever donation you can make. No matter how small or big, you are making a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.
Thank you again for your generous commitment and support.
