Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.
I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Woodstock on Saturday May 30th, 2026 to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.
This year I'm volunteering in honour of my Papa (grandfather) John Payne who has been living with a diagnosis of dementia since 2022 and my beloved angel of a grandmother Jean O'Grady (also known as my sugar mama).
My Papa is one of the greatest men I know who I love, cherish and admire dearly each and every day. Although this disease comes with its good days and bad days my Papa's strength, resiliency, and sense of humor throughout his entire life has not diminish- simply put my papa is my role model. This past March we celebrated a massive milestone as he turned 90 years old! I am truly blessed and forever grateful to have his support and love throughout these years. I truly would not be where I am today without him- he is forever known as my editor and chief! Papa this one's for you as always! Love you forever in this lifetime and the next!
Growing up I had the privilege of not only living 5 minutes away from my Nana and Papa but I grew up with my Grandma living with us. I truly believe grandparents are the most precious gems we have in life and their wisdom is what we need when growing up; and with all that being said me and my Grandma were inseparable and miss her every day. Love you forever and always my heavenly pal! You are the Winnie to my piglet! This one is also for you my angel!
