Hi Everybody!
As many of you know, my wife, Susan, is afflicted with a form of dementia and as a result I have become actively involved with the Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka, serving as a board member.
Sue had broken her hip last summer and is now confined to a wheelchair. She remains in good health and despite continuing loss of cognitive capacity and her confinement to a wheelchair, we are still able to enjoy afternoon walks outdoors during the week. On Saturday, May 30, 2025 , both Sue and I will join in our annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's at Memorial Park in Bracebridge.
Every day, individuals living with dementia and their care partners rely on the Society for support, connection, and guidance. From programs that offer meaningful engagement and respite, to education and one-on-one support, these services make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives. Details of the programs provided can be obtained by clicking on this link or pasting it in your browser:

The Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka (ASM) is staffed by an
incredibly dedicated group of people who are committed to making these programs available to all those in Muskoka and Parry Sound suffering from Alzheimer's disease and various forms of dementia, including support programs for caregivers.
Although some government support is received,
delivery of our programs is greatly dependent on contributions from
the public.
Being involved at both the event level and the governance level has
only strengthened my commitment to this cause. I see firsthand the
impact of every dollar raised, and how much it matters to the families
we serve.
We have relied on your wonderful generosity in past years to raise substantial sums for the Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka. My personal goal this year is to raise the sum of $15,000 and with your help we can do that.
I would be truly grateful if you would consider supporting my walk
with a donation. No amount is too small—each contribution helps ensure that these essential programs continue to be available to those who need them most.
As I have done previously, I undertake to personally double the largest donation to a maximum donation of $2000.
I hope you will support me with your donation. Just click on the "DONATE" button.
