Taking Niagara by Storm
Like over 11 000 other families in Niagara, we have been touched by dementia. We have seen our dad/husband/friend/uncle slip away rapidly over the last few years.
As many other systems and supports failed us, The Alzheimer's Society of Niagara Region provided some much-appreciated guidance, support, and advocacy for us all.
To honour the man we are walking for, the team name comes from his old cable access show, Taking Niagara by Storm.
