Welcome to my Alzheimer’s Walk awareness page
This cause touches my heart in a deeply personal way. Alzheimer’s has affected my family in ways I wish no family ever had to experience. Both my mother, Helen O’Connor, and my mother-in-law, Elizabeth Herrndorf, bravely faced this devastating disease and ultimately passed away because of it.
Watching someone you love slowly lose pieces of themselves—their memories, their independence, and the connections that mean so much—is heartbreaking. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just impact the person diagnosed; it affects entire families, changing lives forever.
This walk is more than just a fundraiser for me. It is a way to honor Helen and Elizabeth, celebrate the love and memories they gave us, and help create hope for future families facing this journey.
I am walking in memory of two incredible women and in support of all those who continue to battle Alzheimer’s and all those who love and care for them.
If you are able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support through a donation. Every contribution—big or small—helps fund research, support programs, and brings us closer to a future where no family has to experience the heartbreak of Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for helping me walk with purpose, love, and hope.
With gratitude, Bonnie
