Thank you for supporting my journey to fight Alzheimer’s disease.  This is a cause that touches me deeply, both because it has affected my family numerous times and because I have personally seen how devastating it is.  My parents each suffered Alzheimer's, as did an aunt on each side of the family.  I have numerous friends who have dealt with parent with dementia.  Alzheimer's and related dementias affect so many families.  

This year I have again committed to participating in the Walk for Alzheimer’s because the Alzheimer Society provides essential programs and services that work to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias within our community.  The Alzheimer Society provided a wide variety of services and support to my family when my parents were diagnosed with the disease, and I know of other families that are currently using them too.
