Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Mississauga on Saturday May 25, 2024 to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. These and other resources make all the difference in the way that people affected by dementia are able to manage the disease and live life to the fullest.  

I am walking in honour of my husband, Antoon “Tony” Loucks, diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia May 2022. Tony is 55 yrs old this year. Tony loves to go on walks together with our dog, Maple, on our beautiful Ontario trails.

We have met great people through Alzheimer’s Society and are grateful for the services they have provided our family: services like Support Groups, Education, Behavioural Counsellors and much much more. They have guided us every step of the way.

My goal is to have Tony live his best life possible. He is so happy socializing, listening to 80’s music and going for walks.
