Thank you for supporting me in raising awareness and funds that will make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families.

I’m participating in the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s in Mississauga on Saturday May 24, 2025 to help raise money on behalf of the Alzheimer Society, so they can meet the growing demand for programs and services. 

Why I Walk…

There are so many empowering reasons:
I walk for my husband, Tony, diagnosed in 2022 with mild dementia (vascular dementia) with cerebral amyloid angiopathy and probable Alzheimer’s, and I remain hopeful for his bright future. I walk for family members living with dementia, and I celebrate their resilience. I walk for friends whose loved ones live with dementia, and I honour their unwavering support. I walk for my community whose services uplift those touched by dementia, and I am grateful for their compassion. I walk to enhance services for those currently and those in the future who may be touched by dementia, and I envision a brighter tomorrow. I walk to reduce my own risk of getting dementia, and I take pride in my proactive approach.

Some of the exceptional services we have utilized are as follows: Companion Call, Virtual Rec Connect, Trans Help, Adult Day Programs, Behavioural Support Ontario, Alzheimer’s Dementia Cafe Support Group for Care Partners and Those Living with Dementia, Alzheimer’s Peel First Steps Dementia Training Program, Alzheimer’s Consulting, Annual ASP Dementia Conferences.

Everyone’s story is unique, yet we all share a common bond. We all strive to provide the best possible life for our loved ones. We want to see them thrive, and we want to create lasting memories with them.
