Team BarboPapa will be participating in our 11th annual Walk for Alzheimer's this coming May 24th, in support of all Dementia related diseases.  As you know, this initiative is very near and dear to our hearts as our own dad suffered from this horrid disease and lost his battle in July 2018.  Dementia related diseases are devastating, as they rob you of your mind, your memories, independence, and dignity amongst many other things. But people like our beloved Papa still mattered - as did his memories! Raising awareness is the least we can do for the man who had provided us with nothing but unconditional love and support our entire lives.

The Alzheimer Society Peel was a great resource for our family in regards to support, counseling, and care in my dads last years, as they provided essential programs and services that worked to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias within our community.

By supporting myself, or any member of Team BarboPapa, you are helping the Alzheimer's Society to continue its important work towards a world without Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.   Alzheimer's does not discriminate, it affects everyone. There is no cure, and there are no survivors.  All we have is hope.  Help us make that hope a reality someday for future generations.
